This is Joachim Hirsch. In 1939 his family fled the Nazis, came to the United States, and begged for asylum. We sent them back. We didn't like Jews that much, so we sent these refugees back to Nazi Germany, where Joachim was killed in the Auschwitz death camp.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, Trump signed an executive order denying refugees of the Syrian genocide (among other conflicts) asylum in the United States, including many children who are the same age Joachim was when this picture was taken.

We've seen this movie before.
